Who is Eclipse Marketing Collective?

Right now, Eclipse Marketing Collective is one person. Not a "we" yet... but that's exactly why it exists.

I'm Ian, and for the past ten years I've been a performing arts nerd through and through. Filming, acting, dancing, painting, drawing, etc! If it was a way to create, I was drawn to it. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I found the two things I loved most: marketing and digital art. For the past three years, I've handled marketing from first idea to final post for multiple performing arts companies. Photography started five years ago as something I did for fun with friends, and it didn't take long before "for fun" turned into "this is what I want to do.” Almost everything I know, I taught myself through opportunities, through experience, through saying yes to things before I felt fully ready for them.

Why EMC exist?

Coming from a small town, we're often behind in the digital age, and that's especially true for theatres and performing arts organizations. There's something hard about that: an art form so old, so beautiful, so full of history, struggling to keep up with a world that moves faster every year. I wanted to solve that. But the more I looked around, the more I realized performing arts wasn't the only industry stuck in that gap. There's a whole world of businesses that don't yet know how to exist in the digital space, and in a landscape that changes as fast as this one does, being on social media isn't optional anymore. It's a must.

That's the gap EMC fills. One person, right now, with the skills to close it.

I'm here for the long run, and I'm mobile, which means for photography, the world is your backdrop. No studio walls required. For content management, I know the entire process, not just pieces of it. Idea, content shoot, content calendar, posting, and everything in between. Most people only know one part of that chain. I know all of it, start to finish, which means you get one person who can carry the whole vision instead of stitching together five different freelancers who don't talk to each other.

Eclipse Marketing Collective may be one person today. But it's built by someone who's spent a decade in the arts, three years in professional marketing, and five years behind a camera, all leading to this!
